GENERAL
Annai Veilankanni's Matriculation Higher Secondary School maintained by Annai veilankanni's Educational & Cultural Society under the able stewardship of Ln. S. Devaraj, M.A., Founder - Correspondent.
The motto of the school is service and stead fastness in the cause of education.
Our School is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Matriculation pattern (Vide No. 111568/E3/89 date 27.08.89 and No.113776/W 11/95 dated 29.12.95)
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
1. To build up the mental faculties of the students  and also mould into them into persons with great character.
2. To impart a comprehensive education through intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development.
3. Offers ample opportunities to exhibit their talent in the field of sports.
CLASSES CONDUCTED
Pre K.G., L.K.G. and U.K.G with amentities for the physical & mental growth of the kids.
Stds. I to X - Syllabus adopted to prepare the students for the Matriculation Examination.
Std. XI to XII - as per State  Board Syllabus.
FACULTY
Aiming at a high standard of excellence we have a team of carefully selected and qualified teachers who create a record of meritorious accomplishment in the Government examinations.
BUILDING
We have spacious class rooms with sound ventilation and every year the buildings are re-structed and modified.
COMPUTER LAB
We have a well maintained Computer Science with computers and qualified Computer Teachers.
LABORATORIES
A well furnished laboratory with up to date modern scientific apparatus is maintained for the practical demonstration in science subjects.
LIBRARY
A palatial accomodation is provided to the library books.  The Library contains books of varied human branches of knowledge under the maintenance of the librarian.
TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES
The management owns buses and vans to enable the students at a distant area to have an easy access to the school at reasonable rates.
SPORTS & GAMES
Qualified Physical Education teachers look to the physical development of boys and girls.  We have regular participation in inter school matches by the department at all levels and we win laurels to the school.

Our students are encouraged and given opportunity to participate in Quiz, Oratorical contests, General Knowledge exam, Science for children and other organizations of the city as well as of the State and National Level Organization.
FUNCTIONS
Due importance is given to celebrations of the National days and of religious importance to mould the students into dutiful citizens of India.
PARENT TEACHERS MEET
Organized Parent Teachers meet after every exam enables the school to have a good contact with the parents for the welfare and progress of their sons and daughters.  In order to know the progress of the students every parent is permitted to interact with teachers only on the First Saturday of every month between 10 a.m. and 12 noon.  On no account will the parent be allowed to meet the teachers, on any other day.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admissions on merit is the criterion.  Candidates seeking admission will have to undergo an Entrance Test in English, Mathematics and Language and Personal Interviews.
The following documents must be produced at the time of admission:

1.      Transfer Certificate and the Annual Exam Mark Sheet of the School last studied.

2.      Birth Certificate from the Municipal authority or Corporation.

3.      Community Certificate

4.      Conduct Certificate from the previous school attended.

5.       Original Mark Sheet of Std. X Examination

6.       Evalution Certificate from the Director of School Education in case of Foreign and other State or CBSE School
