OUR SCHOOL      Founded on the advice of and with the blessings of His Holiness The Mahaswami of Kanchi in 1958.  Ensures Quality Education imbibed with Culture and Heritage.
OUR ILLUSTRIOUS FOUNDER    Late Shri. K. M. Subramaniam ex.MLA.  Was a multi faceted personality with deep devotion towards the society.  His activity extended to Education, Public life, Spirituality and Nationalism.

 
OUR FIRST TRUSTEE    Late. Smt. Sarada Subramaniam was instrumental in transforming the vedic center of 1956 into a full fledged school in 1958.  She has built the institution brick by brick to achieve this level and zeal.

 
OUR MANAGEMENT    School Management committee is the source of inspiration and motivation to achieve glory day after day in all fields.  Stands second to none in developing our school at par with National standards.

 
OUR FACULTY     The team of faculty is headed by well experienced principal with highly qualified and trained teachers who provide moral and parental guidance to the students.

     Academic:

  100% results in the Board Exams since 1993.

  100% in Sanskrit Exams of CBSE.

     Computer Science:

   1. Compulsory from std. III to X.

   2. Advanced Computer Languages taught to students from std. VI to X with updated packages in designing, drawing, maintenance of PC's at Concessional rates.

   3. Advanced computer classes are handled byprofessional and qualified faculties.

        Moral Instruction:

   1.  Compulsory for all classes.

   2.  Classes on spiritually and personality development conducted for students from std. IV to X after school hours.

         Literary Club:

    It takes care of the Debating, Oratorical and writing skills in English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu & Sanskrit.

       Fine Arts Clubs:

     Bharathanatiyam, Carnatic Vocal, Group Singing, Folk Dance Training are     provided to the students through this club.

     Inter Act Club:

     Current Affairs, Quiz, Socially useful productive work are taken care by this      club.

      Science Club:

      The Scienfic and technology informations are updated and students interests kindled by this club.

       Karate:

       Self confidence, Physical Training, Meditation, Martial Art Training are provided by our Karate classes.

       Yoga:

       To keep themselves hale & healthy Yoga classes provide everyone a proper Training.

       Free Veda classes:

       Free Veda classes are conducted on Sunday mornings  in which not only our   students but also the residents in and around T. Nagar are benefited.  Parents of our School are also benefited throughout the year.

       Sankara Mela Parvani:

       The Cultural Extravaganza of the Chennai School children is hosted and organized by us since 1993.  This week long celebrations provides the platform for students to expose their talents and skills in various fields.  This is acclaimed as a National Youth Festival.  The participants strength of 400 in 1993 had crossed 7000 in recent years, which proves the success of the Mela.

 
LOCATION         The School is situated at 16, Ramanujam Street, T. Nagar, Chennai - 17, which is near to T. Nagar Terminus, Mambalam Railway Station and TTD Temple Venkatnarayana Road.

 
ADMISSIONS & WITHDRAWALS         Admission to all sections (Std I to Std X) is regulated by Entrance Tests. Selection is based only on Merit.  Recommendation will not be entertained.  Donations are strictly forbidden.  Notification for Admissions is normally made in the month of January.  Students seeking Admissions should register their filled in Application forms provided by the School within 2 weeks from the date of issue of Application.  Registration of Application does not entitle the right for Admissions.  Admissions & Withdrawals will be done according to the rules of the School and Principal's decision is final.

 
TIMINGS PKG & LKG -- 9.00 am to 12.10 PM.

UKG             -- 9.00 am to   2.50 PM.

Std I to X     -- 9.00 am to 3.30 PM>

PreKG, TO Std. will work on all days except Saturday, Sunday & Holidays VI to X Std. will work on all days except Second Saturday, Sunday & Holidays.

 
UNIFORM Monday               :  White Uniform

Tuesday-Thursday:   As per specifications of School.

Friday                   :   House Uniform.

Note: Shoes, Dress, Belt, Badge, Identity Card as per the specifications makes the complete uniform.

 
TRANSPORT         Van facilities are available for areas like T. Nagar, West Mambalam, Kodambakkam, Ashok Nagar, K.K. Nagar, Saidapet, Thodundar Nagar, C.I.T. Nagar and Nungambakkam.

 
FEES         Fees details for all the IV Terms are provided separately in the fee schedule.  Donations will not be entertained under any circumstances and the same shall be treated as disqualification for admissions.
