On the building site there was a little digger, who heard Mr. Larkin
complaining everyday. "Soon there'll be a beautiful new house
here, why does the complain so much?" wondered the digger to
itself.
So the next time Mr. Larkin went past, the little digger decided he
would teach him a lesson. The digger lifted Mr. Larkin up into the
air by his shirt collar. "Let go of me, let go!"
searched Mr. Larkin. But the little digger swung him round and
round the building site before putting him down on the ground.
Once on firm land again, Mr. Larkin straightened out his suit, picked up
his briefcase and set off for work at once.
From then on he never again complained when he had to make detour around
a building site. He had learnt his lesson well!
