Targeted exercises
By concentrating
on each area of your body individually, you will come to understand your
physicality , how it functions and how your muscles interrelate. You will
be able to spend more time on those areas of your body in which you feel
most tension or that otherwise need most care.
The most important
aspect of exercise is listening to your body. Do not do anything that
you are uncomfortable with, you will achieve more by relaxing and working
at a gentle pace than by pushing your self too hard.
- Before you exercise
, you should spend a few minutes clearing your mind , breathing deeply,
and consciously relaxing before you start.
- You must always
begin by working very gently and slowly, relaxing any tension throughout
the body, before you move to more advanced stretches.
- The warm up
is an essential part of your exercise session. The first two or three
exercises in each section are best for warming up that part of the body.
Used in combination they will gently work you from top to toe.
- It is important
to have a " cool -down" after any period of exercise .
Just as you begin
slowly , you should slow down gently , rather than stopping abruptly.
- After exercising
try taking a few minutes consciously relaxing your mind and body. enjoy
a little tranquility before moving to the next activity of your day.
