The Do-It-Yourself-Pedicure

Feet are the hardest working parts of the body, but we rarely take time to give them the attention they need. A weekly pampering pedicure is the answer it will leave your feet feeling refreshed and ready for action!

Supplies:

Shower gel or soap
Nail polish remover
Nail Polish
Foot file
Tissue
Cotton
Nail clipper
Moisturizing cream or lotion

Step 1.
Position a chair behind a clean, wide bucket filled with hot water. Soak feet to soften.

Step 2.
Separate toes with tissue.

Step 3.
Use a cotton pad soaked with nail-polish remover to take off old polish. If your cuticles are dry, add a drop of olive oil to the pad before using it on your nails.

Step 4.
Clip your toenails straight across with clippers .Use a nail file to smooth the edges, including the sides. Best shape: square with rounded edges.

Step 5.
Rinse and dry. Apply a generous amount of super-moisturizing foot lotion or cream.

Step 6.
Wash the moisturizer off your toenails with soap and water and let them dry.

Step 7.
Apply a base coat (yes, this step is necessary even on a pedicure).

Step 8.
Apply varnish.

Step 9.
Allow varnish to dry for 30 minutes.
